Let's get started!

Getting Ready for the Interview!

Before going on an interview:

  • Find out who you are speaking with and their position
  • Research the company and their history
  • Learn about the products and services they offer
  • Prepare 10 – 15 questions

Standard Interview Questions – Be Prepared

Here are some sample interview questions that you should be prepared to answer. Practice as needed so that you can provide relaxed answers. Be concise and to the point.

  • Why do you want to work for us?
  • Why should we hire you?
  • What is your recent work experience?
  • What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
  • How would your peers describe you?
  • What are you the most proud of in your personal and / or professional life? It’s best to focus on your professional skills.
  • Why are you looking for a new position?

Going for your Interview

  • Be punctual – it’s a good idea to be ready for your interview 5-10 minutes beforehand.
  • This applies to both telephone and in-person interviews.
  • Be relaxed and calm.
  • Dress neatly in business attire.
  • Always wait until a question is asked in full before answering.
  • Keep eye contact with the person interviewing you.
  • Initial interviews are fact-finding missions to find out if a position is a good fit for you and the company. It’s generally not a good idea to get into details about compensation and benefits –we’ll help you with this.
  • At the end of the interview, ask what the next step is. This shows that you are interested in the opportunity.

After the Interview

Always send a thank you email or message to the interviewers. This applies to telephone, video or in-person interviews.

After your interview, contact your recruiter. Once we hear from you, we’ll contact the company for their feedback and we’ll pass along their comments.
